Agri-Immanence attends Ireland’s Youth Food Forum

Agri-Immanence team member Alex Firestine recently headed to the National Youth Food Forum in Dublin to network with other youth agripreneurs in Ireland

Ireland’s National Youth Food Forum is supported by Ireland’s Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) and hosted by the Irish Forum for International Agricultural Development (IFIAD).

The Agri-Immanence Project Leader (Prof. Charles Spillane) is the Chair of IFIAD.

The National Youth Food Forum event focused on fostering a continued youth engagement in sustainability and productivity of agrifood systems in Ireland and globally.  Alex, who is finishing his MSc in Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security at the University of Galway, attended a number of workshops to discuss the future of Ireland’s food systems.

The event was a useful opportunity for Agri-Immanence to network with youth entrepreneurs working in the agrifood space.
